Photography Show Opening at Corridor Gallery
Sunday, March 30th, 4-6pm ET - On View through May 17, 2014
RUSH Arts/Corridor Gallery
334 Grand Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11238

Selected from their 2013 artists submissions, it is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of my show at the Rush Arts/Corridor Gallery Project Space. The images from the Namesake series were born from an exploration of the original meaning of "Qiana" (a nylon textile that was a cheaper alternative to silk) and the prison system's cataloging of arrests through mugshots. The results of my research takes the form of blurred photographs which speak to our social history, consumerism, advertising and racial profiling.

Also on view are selections by Sonia Louise Davis, a large format photographer. If you can't attend the opening, please come on Sunday, April 13 from 4-6pm ET at Corridor Gallery for an artist talk with both of us.
